One of the first results of the Hague Congress was the opening of the process that led to the signing of the Treaty of London on May 5, 1949, which established the Council of Europe. Its Assembly, called the Consultative Assembly, was at the origin of the process that led to the launch of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). Furthermore, the Assembly promoted the opening of the Council of Europe to West Germany.

Uno dei primi risultati del Congresso dell'Aia fu l'apertura del processo che condusse alla firma del Trattato di Londra del 5 maggio 1949, che istituì il Consiglio d'Europa.
