The figure of Phaedra has always haunted the Western imagination: the tragedy has been read and reread many times and does not seem to lose its disturbing charm over time. The text tries to pick up some of the threads of this long story and to ask for its deep and hidden reasons, up to the very last and contemporary reinterpretations by women.
La figura di Fedra ossessiona da sempre l’immaginario occidentale: la tragedia è stata letta e riletta molte volte e non sembra perdere col tempo il suo fascino disturbante. Il testo prova a riprendere alcuni fili di questa lunga storia e a chiederne le ragioni profonde e nascoste, fino alle ultimissime e contemporanee riletture da parte di donne.
