Despite the growing number of models developed to support organizations in measuring the value they generate in terms of social impact, in some cases their use remains limited. There is a consistent concern about the bias of existing standardized measurement tools, as the streamlined process that organizations want clashes with the need to quantify and/or monetize social impacts that are qualitative in nature. This chapter provides an in-depth analysis of the main barriers that are perceived by managers as hampering their efforts to adopt a standardized tool to measure the social value created through their activities.

Abstract
Despite the growing number of models developed to support organizations in measuring the value they generate in terms of social impact, in some cases their use remains limited. There is a consistent concern about the bias of existing standardized measurement tools, as the streamlined process that organizations want clashes with the need to quantify and/or monetize social impacts that are qualitative in nature. This chapter provides an in-depth analysis of the main barriers that are perceived by managers as hampering their efforts to adopt a standardized tool to measure the social value created through their activities.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
