Megapolis Minsk. City, landscape, and tourism in the transition from Soviet city to contemporary city / Megapolis Minsk. Città, paesaggio, turismo nel passaggio dalla città sovietica alla città contemporanea

It is a joint research project focusing on the urban problems of the city and region of Minsk and the country of Belarus at a time when, in the aftermath of the long Soviet era, they are grappling with the issues typical of a city growing rapidly in terms of population and well-being, but lagging far behind, from the technical and disciplinary standpoint, in issues of urban and economic management. The disciplines of architecture, urban planning, interiors, environmental and energy sustainability, territorial management and infrastructures in relation to the landscape and its implications for tourism are involved.

È un progetto di ricerca congiunto centrato sulle problematiche urbane della città e della regione di Minsk e del paese bielorusso nel momento in cui questi, all’indomani della lunga stagione sovietica si affacciano alle tematiche proprie di una città in rapida crescita per popolazione e benessere ma in forte ritardo tecnico e disciplinare nei temi della gestione urbanistica ed economica. Sono coinvolte le discipline dell’architettura, dell’urbanistica, degli interni, della sostenibilità ambientale-energetica, della gestione di territorio e infrastrutture in relazione al paesaggio e alle sue implicazioni turistiche.
