The research analyzes the transformation of the historical, social and urban context, ten years after the earthquake in L'Aquila. The historical nucleus, the center of gravity of this community, it is still a wasteland. The analysis shows the need to reconnect to the daily life of the individuals with the concrete possibilities of intervention in the democratic life to take care for the territory as a prerequisite for social welfare and safety.
