The analysis seeks to explore whether a number of instruments of administrative participation to decision-making in SSM adjudication-type activities help to enhance the legitimacy and accountability of the latter, and whether these amount to a satisfactory implementation of the due process principle. The goal is to contribute to the broader debate surrounding the evolution of the law and practice of both transparency and accountability of the ECB as a key actor of the EU institutional machinery, bearing in mind the prominent political role it gained in the aftermath of the global financial crisis and the substantial impact this brings to its accountability status.

Abstract
The analysis seeks to explore whether a number of instruments of administrative participation to decision-making in SSM adjudication-type activities help to enhance the legitimacy and accountability of the latter, and whether these amount to a satisfactory implementation of the due process principle. The goal is to contribute to the broader debate surrounding the evolution of the law and practice of both transparency and accountability of the ECB as a key actor of the EU institutional machinery, bearing in mind the prominent political role it gained in the aftermath of the global financial crisis and the substantial impact this brings to its accountability status.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
