The project is the result of a multidisciplinary approach, supported by specialist contributions, with the aim of regenerating an urban sector with the creation of an inclusive district with a predominantly productive character. Supporting the main design intentions through the contribution of the various specialist contributions has provided numerous advantages in terms of process and final outcome. The continuous open exchange between territorial, urban, architectural, technological, landscape, environmental and economic issues has led to evaluations and circular and integrated choices, able to strongly support more audacious decisions. The final solution includes an integrated production district with service areas for businesses, flexible work spaces and residences. The district is aimed at supporting new urban economies linked to the coexistence of work and living spaces, to residence with specific users, including temporary ones, as well as services and proximity commerce. The redevelopment insists to an extent equal to about 30% of the volume on the area; a bridge building constitutes a perspective fifth and urban landmark. Structural action of the project are the articulated system of public spaces and the enhancement of the potential of are accessibility through the definition of a preferential and safe cycle-pedestrian path connecting the station to the site. The final result is a vision able to bring to an effective synthesis the different aspects of the transfor- mation of a city passage.
