The codicological, palaeographical and textual analysis of two of the “books of the universitas” kept in the Municipal Library "Sabino Loffredo" of Barletta, the manuscripts AP. MS I 80 and AP. MS I 81 (XVth-XVIth centuries), clarifies that the first codex belongs to the category of the Apulian "red books", while the second codex is a dossier of the documents related to the sixteenth-century reform of the municipal statutes.
