Within the researches of the Ostia Marina Project, new archaeological investigations have been carried out in the “Building of two staircases”, a commercial and residential building located in the southeastern part of the insula IV, ix of Ostia, in the suburban area outside Porta Marina. The large structure was built in the late Hadrianic age, and shows many traces of restoration proving its continuity of use until at least the 5th century AD. The new researches add new data to the knowledge of the extension, the chronology and the spatial organization of the building. A new mosaic floor has been discovered in room 24, and room 10 has turned out to be a little courtyard.
