Mario Ridolfi. Case a torre in Viale Etiopia

Il contributo sottolinea il ruolo di notevole importanza che ha avuto l’opera sia teorica che progettuale di Mario Ridolfi nella storia dell’architettura italiana. In tutta la sua produzione ricorrono, come costanti alcuni temi - quali il rapporto tra disegno e costruito, il rapporto con la storia e le tradizioni, il rapporto con le forme naturali, l’attenzione scrupolosa a soluzioni di dettaglio, un atteggiamento artigianale nei confronti dell’architettura - che hanno segnato la formazione di una “poetica” personale dell’autore. In particolare viene proposto un approfondimento sul progetto degli edifici “a torre” in viale Etiopia a Roma, che rappresenta una delle opere più significative della produzione architettonica italiana degli anni Cinquanta, in cui la ricerca dell’impianto spaziale trova la sua definizione nel tema della torre. The contribution highlights the role of great importance that the work has had both theoretical and design of Mario Ridolfi in the history of Italian architecture.
