The study is entirely dedicated to the poem of Giusto de 'Conti "La notte torna, and the air and the sky is blackening", among the first of the Italian poetic pastoral tradition. The text is published critically, based on the entire manuscript tradition, and provided with a systematic source system. Much importance is given to his position, conclusive, in the most reliable codes of the Conti songbook: his "desperate" and frottolistic tones represent the worthy conclusion of the amorous deception suffered by the protagonist. Therefore a political interpretation, recently proposed, is difficult; in any case, it would certainly not lead to an antipapal reading (as proposed by others), but to an exact opposite, coherent with the biographical experience of the author (Eugenio IV's cubicolario, then even Pontifical Treasurer in the Marca). Finally, on the basis of intertextual findings, the great influence exerted by the composition against numerous fifteenth-century markers, including the best known, is reconstructed.

Abstract
Finally, on the basis of intertextual findings, the great influence exerted by the composition against numerous fifteenth-century markers, including the best known, is reconstructed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
