In the manifesto we list one hundred architects (ninety-nine a more) who have been active over more or less the last hundred years; they are described in a condensed outline, from the pioneers to contemporary figures and beyond; the summary is also to be considered as a springboard from which to launch numbers of different paths of further study. This inventory encourages self-consciousness and thought, not only at the most obvious and valuable points of the changes in style but also towards the personalities of the authors. Our undertaking is not to try to evade even the practices that form part of the current debate between the artistic and communication within the all-inclusive world of aesthetics, but to try to make their coordinates legible and interpretable, and thus render choices comparable and debatable, by re-assessing the connections between aesthetic and artistic values and the values of well-being in our living spaces, between the autonomy and the heteronomy of architecture

Abstract
In the manifesto we list one hundred architects (ninety-nine a more) who have been active over more or less the last hundred years; they are described in a condensed outline, from the pioneers to contemporary figures and beyond; the summary is also to be considered as a springboard from which to launch numbers of different paths of further study. This inventory encourages self-consciousness and thought, not only at the most obvious and valuable points of the changes in style but also towards the personalities of the authors. Our undertaking is not to try to evade even the practices that form part of the current debate between the artistic and communication within the all-inclusive world of aesthetics, but to try to make their coordinates legible and interpretable, and thus render choices comparable and debatable, by re-assessing the connections between aesthetic and artistic values and the values of well-being in our living spaces, between the autonomy and the heteronomy of architectureI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
