The single currency and Community citizenship, both established in the Maastricht Treaty, have a close but neglected relation. While the euro has strongly shaped Community citizenship, few have noticed or reflected upon it. The purpose of this text is to explore an underappreciated facet of European citizenship, that is, its multiple relations with the single currency. These relations regard the cultural, social, everyday-life economy, and the political dimensions.

Abstract
The single currency and Community citizenship, both established in the Maastricht Treaty, have a close but neglected relation. While the euro has strongly shaped Community citizenship, few have noticed or reflected upon it. The purpose of this text is to explore an underappreciated facet of European citizenship, that is, its multiple relations with the single currency. These relations regard the cultural, social, everyday-life economy, and the political dimensions.File allegati a questo prodotto
