The composite direct product model proposed by Browne (1984) is one of the most important models for the analysis of multitrait-multimethod matrices. In this paper the model is extended to attempt to overcome lack-offit problems. The usefulness of the proposal is demonstrated by an application to an exemplary MTMM matrix.

Abstract

The composite direct product model proposed by Browne (1984) is one of the most important models for the analysis of multitrait-multimethod matrices. In this paper the model is extended to attempt to overcome lack-offit problems. The usefulness of the proposal is demonstrated by an application to an exemplary MTMM matrix.
