Abstract
This paper suggests that the phraseology of Hermesianax fr. 7.73-4 Powell may reflect the interpretatio obscena given by the Athenian comic poets - perhaps already by Nicochares, cettainly by Aristophanes (Pl. 295)- to a hyperbolic motif from the Cyclops of Philoxenus, namely that of the great passion inspired in Polyphemus' rams and goats by Galatea.File allegati a questo prodotto
