Il sistema informativo territoriale di Ostia antica: analisi e ricostruzione di un paesaggio urbano antico

Since 2015 Sapienza University has been carrying on research activities dedicated to the changing urban landscape of Ostia. This project is part of a wider one aiming at the analyses and reconstruction of ancient architectures and changing landscapes of Rome and Latium (Vetus and Adiectum). The proposed paper presents an “Archaeological Information System” developed using Qgis, Postgis, Postgresql softwares and dedicated to urban landscapes of the ancient city-port of Rome. Problems emerged during the research and procedures adopted in order to assess archaeological and historical evidence and query the data sets will be discussed.
