Living with diabetes: the discourse of medical information on the Internet for young people

The paper discusses the discourse of medical information for young people in websites specifically addressed to children and teenagers. This information is usually found in sections of larger medical websites targeted at adult patients and are meant to provide specialised knowledge and specific contents as how to live with diabetes in a way that is appropriate and effective. The paper analyses the cognitive and communicative resources used to achieve this aim and compares them with those usually exploited in websites for adults.
