The paper describes the experience of a workshop in Pontedera (Pisa). The main issues of this work concern the crisis affected the residential typology, the fate of housing today and the most suitable form of contemporary living for its increasingly flexible and transitory nature. The project proposals in this paper refer to the areas of Laghi Braccini and La Borra, respectively located east and south of Pontedera. The design solutions are based on the principle of co-housing in the case of Laghi Braccini, and the review of the role of common, public and private areas in the case of La Borra.

The project proposals in this paper refer to the areas of Laghi Braccini and La Borra, respectively located east and south of Pontedera. The design solutions are based on the principle of co-housing in the case of Laghi Braccini, and the review of the role of common, public and private areas in the case of La Borra.
