La stazione della storia: San Giovanni linea C

The essay proposes a reflection on the main aspects of contemporary public spaces and on the methods of fruition and perception that the use of modern information technology devices produce in citizens. The case study, here investigated and analyzed, is the one of the new station San Giovanni on the subway's line C, in which the author of this case is one of the designers; the city history of Rome has been the main theme that led to conceive an innovative set up, giving back at the type of subway's station the character of "place" in the city.

Il saggio propone una riflessione sui caratteri degli spazi pubblici contemporanei e sulle modalità di fruizione e percezione che l’uso dei moderni dispositivi informatici producono nei cittadini. Il caso studio indagato ed analizzato è quello della nuova stazione della metro C di S. Giovanni di cui l’autore è uno dei progettisti, dove il tema della storia della città di Roma ha dato luogo ad un innovativo allestimento che restituisce al tipo della stazione metropolitana il carattere di “luogo” della città.
