In renewable energy based power systems for telecommunications, maintenance experience and typical failures knowledge are critical to improve their reliability and to ensure a continuously energy production. Throughout this chapter, renewable energy based power systems for telecommunications will be presented and their operational problems will be reviewed based on available reliability reports. Some solutions are proposed to achieve an uninterruptible energy production from these systems, which is a crucial feature to consider them as a suitable and reliable solution for telecommunications powering.

Abstract

In renewable energy based power systems for telecommunications, maintenance experience and typical failures knowledge are critical to improve their reliability and to ensure a continuously energy production.
