This essay analyses the concept of retributive justice in the archaic age of ancient Greece, in an attempt to show how, despite being more closely associated with conflict in juridical and literary culture, it has been employed by philosophers to promote peace on both an ontological and an ethical level, thus creating a new ideal of peace which acknowledges everything in the name of justice.

Abstract
This essay analyses the concept of retributive justice in the archaic age of ancient Greece, in an attempt to show how, despite being more closely associated with conflict in juridical and literary culture, it has been employed by philosophers to promote peace on both an ontological and an ethical level, thus creating a new ideal of peace which acknowledges everything in the name of justice.File allegati a questo prodotto
