Abstract

The literature argues that the lntellectual Capitai (IC) consistsof three elements: human, structural and relatlonal capitai. However. we suggest that also other fundamental elements could be includ ed in IC, i.e. renewal capitai (RC). trust capitai (TC) and entrepreneurial capitai (EC). Starting from this assumption. che aim of thìs work is to analyse the relationship between two fundamental stand-alone components of IC (RC and EC) and flrms' financial performances. The study underllnes that in the era of knowledge economy, EC and RC represent key resources for organlzations, enabling high innovatìon performance and organizational growth and ìncreasìng theìr effectìveness In responding to future challenges and radical changes in the market.
