Agathias’ fondness for the poetry of Callimachus is well known, and has been noticed many times in the scholarly debate. The present contribution, through a collection and evaluation of the relevant passages in Agathias’ work (the epigrams as well as the Histories), aims to offer a comprehensive investigation on the forms of Agathias’ imitation of Callimachus.
