The design approach that takes energy efficiency and the use of renewable fuels into account has an important influence on Italy's 'green economy', guiding future construction, stimulating a free and open dialogue between construction industry stakeholders and promoting applied scientific research in order to provide recommendations for the design of buildings, cities and territories with a view to limiting energy consumption and improving building management and maintenance. Given how the technologies used have naturally evolved over time and keeping in mind pending changes in regulations, the situation whereby public authorities and governments are increasingly demanding a design approach of this kind is becoming increasingly clear. Modern-day problems to do with the lack of energy resources, global climate change and the need for environmental wellbeing require urgent, obligatory measures and improvements to the power systems of buildings and cities, actions that could lower energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, leading to savings, energy efficiency and energy production from renewable fuels, stimulating new production, jobs, competitiveness and environmentally sustainable lifestyles.

Abstract
The design approach that takes energy efficiency and the use of renewable fuels into account has an important influence on Italy's 'green economy', guiding future construction, stimulating a free and open dialogue between construction industry stakeholders and promoting applied scientific research in order to provide recommendations for the design of buildings, cities and territories with a view to limiting energy consumption and improving building management and maintenance. Given how the technologies used have naturally evolved over time and keeping in mind pending changes in regulations, the situation whereby public authorities and governments are increasingly demanding a design approach of this kind is becoming increasingly clear. Modern-day problems to do with the lack of energy resources, global climate change and the need for environmental wellbeing require urgent, obligatory measures and improvements to the power systems of buildings and cities, actions that could lower energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, leading to savings, energy efficiency and energy production from renewable fuels, stimulating new production, jobs, competitiveness and environmentally sustainable lifestyles.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
