The survey of the Royal Palace, carried out in two phases (1995-1997 and 2002-2006), led to the integrated use of different surveying techniques (direct measurement, topographic and photogrammetric) and the acquisition of many photographic documentation, archival and bibliographic information. The creation of total and partial digital models has allowed a greater understanding of the monument and its even more effective representation for the purpose of communication. In 2006 the work was supplemented by relief of the Park.
