The book presents a critical edition of the anonymous Old Norse text Hungrvaka, concerning the formation of the early Icelandic church and the biographies of the Icelandic bishops of Skalholt from 1056 to 1178.
Edizione critica con traduzione a fronte, introduzione e note del testo antico-islandese Hungrvaka, composto alla fine del XII secolo da un anonimo chierico della sede episcopale di Skalholt. L'edizione presenta per la prima volta a un pubblico italiano il testo dell'Hungrvaka, una breve storia della formazione della Chiesa d'Islanda e dei primi cinque vescovi islandesi, dal 1056 al 1178.
