Abstract

* Progettazione. * Direzione lavori. ** The “Worn-away Edge” This little corner architectural work embodies the metaphor of disgregation. Extremely corroded, it wants to tell about habitability doomed to die out. A presence-absence which is very provoking. «What You are, We were; What We are, You will be»: so that it seems to proclaim. Some fragments uselessly persist in reflecting the earthly house, the past attending. But how long will it last? All that lives must come to a stop. The crossed window, the upside-dawn ladder, walled up spaces, broken panes, a statics always on the point of collapsing, the gargoyle aut off, the grassy thresholds, state of no-place, no-finished framing condition, the dried tree in the low position, and much more, narrate us of a remote world, lost for ever. There is the green tree on the terracing which inspires hope, inviting to the joy of an everlasting life. Becoming available, can mean a liberation at once gratifying. Up there, luckily, perhaps “Somebody” loves us.
