This contribution is a detailed analysis of the Ludao quarter in the Luoyang capital of the Tang, reconstructed through the study of literary and epigraphical evidence combined with a thorough archaeological investigation. In the Ludao quarter resided, among others, the famous late Tang poet Bai Juyi (772–846), as well as many outstanding political figures of the time. Among the various sources examined is the "Tang liangjing chengfang kao" (Walls and Quarters of the Two Tang capitals) by Xu Song (1781-1848).
Questo articolo è un'analisi dettagliata del quartiere Ludao di Luoyang, la "capitale orientale" dei Tang, ricostruita attraverso l'esame di varie testimonianze epigrafiche e letterarie, e attraverso la ricerca archeologica. Tra le residenze del quartiere Ludao, si annoverano quella di Bai Juyi (772–846), noto poeta del periodo tardo Tang, e le residenze di importanti personalità politiche dell'epoca.
