Until a few years ago the study of military history are focused on the reconstruction of military operations, the analysis of military organizations and their relations with the rest of the Country. As far as the production and availability of weapons, this studies did not go beyond the assessing the impact of military spending on state budgets. From more strictly economic perspective, this present work is part of a new and fruitful field of study that highlights interesting international points of convergence and intersection between military historians and economic historians (eg: M Harrison, S. Broadberry, M. Rota). It will move on several fronts, involving economic historians and economic statistisciants, covering: a) the problem of industrial mobilization that can only be overcome with a strong coordination of the State; b) the economic reasons of the conflict.
