Grado di avanzamento : un concetto generale per definire stechiometria, grandezze termodinamiche e velocità di una reazione chimica

The concept of “extend of reaction” was introduced in 1920 by De Donder and was used systematically by the Brussels School of Thermodynamics. This concept is useful to describe a chemical reaction in a general way but neverthless until now it has been introduced in the chemistry curriculum only starting from the course Physical Chemistry I with Laboratory in the second year. The purpose of the present contribution is to make a move toward the introduction of this fundamental concept in the General Chemistry course of the first year.

Il concetto di “grado di avanzamento di una reazione” fu introdotto nel 1920 da De Donder, e usato sistematicamente dalla Scuola Termodinamica di Brussels. Questo concetto è utile per descrivere una reazione chimica nel modo più generale possibile ma nonostante ciò viene introdotto nel curriculum degli studi chimici con il corso di Chimica Fisica I con Laboratorio del II anno. L’obiettivo del presente lavoro è quello di presentare argomenti in favore dell’introduzione di questo concetto fondamentale nel corso di Chimica Generale del I anno.
