In this paper we propose an integrated use of data from two different families sample surveys (FFS Italia 1995/96 and Indagine Multiscopo 1998), pooling them with current birth statistics in order to see how age at first birth has changed over time for Italian women with and without higher educatinal qualification. We evaluate the gain from combining data from sample surveys and population collections and the decrease in lthe amount of standard errors.
