A mathematical model of lighting systems has been developed and set up in the Matlab-Simulink® environment. The model allows the calculation of the energy efficiency of the system and related costs. A parametric analysis can be easily performed varying, for instance, the contribution of the natural lighting or the required level of indoor lighting. The model has been validated using data available in the literature. Finally, a case study is presented and discussed.

Abstract
A mathematical model of lighting systems has been developed and set up in the Matlab-Simulink® environment. The model allows the calculation of the energy efficiency of the system and related costs. A parametric analysis can be easily performed varying, for instance, the contribution of the natural lighting or the required level of indoor lighting. The model has been validated using data available in the literature. Finally, a case study is presented and discussed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
