Parole e numeri. Analisi quantitative dei fatti di lingua

Numerus est: not legitur. In the humanities there are those who consider words and numbers as distant and different realities. We know from ancient times that it is not so. Moreover, for half a century mathematicians and statisticians on the one hand, on the other philologists, linguists, psychologists have shown how perspectives on language are productive at the intersection of the two realities.

Numerus est: non legitur. Nelle humanities c'è chi considera parole e numeri come realtà distanti e diverse. Sappiamo da tempi lontani che non è così. Inoltre, da mezzo secolo matematici e statistici da un lato, d'altro lato filologi, linguisti, psicologi del linguaggio hanno mostrato quanto è produttivo lavorare all'intersezione delle due realtà.
