Satisfaction of European citizens with their health care: some determinants at individual and system level

The purpose of the study is to analyze some possible correlates of satisfaction of European citizens with their health care systems. In principle many factors either at individual level and at a system level can influence the satisfaction of citizens: by means of a multilevel model we try to asses which one is really important in explaining differences in satisfaction. Among the results individual characteristics such as trustful attitudes, health conditions, level of happiness, age, sex, education, political attitude, groups belonging, work position, are important correlated factors, while system characteristics are more difficult to assess, the Beveridge systems seemingly associated with less satisfaction and reform policies quite uninfluential.
