Abstract

TEOAEs provide an analytical picture of the auditory system in terms of signal transduction. The auditory system can be considered as a freely moving dynamical system made coherent by the in-going click stimulus, and the pattern of coherence induction can be considered the same among different subjects. In these terms, individual differences in stimulus processing depend upon the different deterministic character of the freely moving outer hair cells in the Corti organ.
