In this paper a pre-filtering and a post-filtering approach to blind source separation in reverberant environment is presented. The preprocessing consists in the use of common acoustical poles that can simplify the recovering network, giving some a priori information on the environment. In particular the autoregressive part of a transfer function in a closed environment is common for all positions. After pre-filtering conventional BSS algorithm in frequency domain is applied to get estimates of original sources. In addition an adaptive noise canceler is used as post-filter in order to enhance the quality of the separation. Some experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. © 2011 The authors and IOS Press. All rights reserved.

Abstract
