The contribution introduces the definition of "" restoration "," refers to each category of 'cultural property', the second section (Restoration and other interventions) of the second head (Preservation) of the Consolidation Act of 1999, even before considering the merits of clarification of the concept, you can see how this is connected to "" conservation, "" representing the category specification for general reference. Il contributo introduce la definizione di "restauro", riferita ad ogni categoria di 'bene culturale', della seconda Sezione (Restauro e altri interventi) del secondo Capo (Conservazione) del Testo unico del 1999; ancor prima di entrare nel merito della precisazione del concetto, si nota come questo sia collegato alla "conservazione" che rappresenta la categoria disciplinare di riferimento generale. Oltre al "restauro", la legge prevede altre forme di tutela ("ogni attività diretta a riconoscere, conservare e proteggere i beni culturali e ambientali" - d.lgs. n. 112 del 31 marzo 1998, art. 148), nella prima e nella terza Sezione, relative rispettivamente ai Controlli e ad Altre forme di protezione. La definizione di "restauro" contenuta nel Testo unico è la prima che si ritrovi espressamente in un testo di legge sul patrimonio monumentale; è stata comunque preceduta da nozioni sparse in altre norme e leggi, come quelle riportate nell'articolo 31 della legge n. 457 del 3 agosto 1978 (Recupero del patrimonio edilizio) e nel d.p.r. n. 554 del 21 dicembre 1999 (Regolamento di attuazione della legge quadro in materia di lavori pubblici 11 febbraio 1994, n. 109 e successive modificazioni).
