Describes 3 studies conducted within the framework of the 5-factor model of personality. The 1st study shows the emergence of a slightly modified version of the Big Five factors in the Italian lexicon. The factors were named Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Quietness vs Irritability, Selfishness vs Altruism, and Conventionality. The 2nd study examined the validity of a new questionnaire to assess the 5-factor model. In the 3rd study, the 5-factor model was used to map individual differences associated with aggression in the multidimensional personality. Two factors stood out in the 3rd study: Emotional Stability vs Neuroticism and Friendliness.
