La Villa Farnesina a Roma. Contributo alla sua storia

Villa Frnesina in Roma, built by Agostino Chigi in the early sixteenth century, is famous for the figurative decorations Painted so skilfully my masters such as Baldassarre Peruzzi, Rafael and Sebastiano del Piombo. The Villa is one of the most important works built by Baldassarre Peruzzi in Roma. Its constraction lastes many years, up until the twentieth century. This was due not only to personal events in the life of its owner and his heirs, but also because it repeatedly changed hands. At the and of 2013 the current owners, the Accademia dei Lincei, granted permission to research the complex and provide a critical interpretation of the architectural complex and its surroundings. Our aim was to virtually retrace the main steges of its construction.
