Addition of Sn to superconducting (BiPb)2Sr2Ca1Cu2Oy has been studied extensively using EDAX, SEM and electron diffraction. It is found that addition of Sn increases T(c) to an extent of 7 K unlike Sn substitution. The present study indicates that Sn occupies the Cu site.
