Gender differences in the use of emotion regulation strategies have been described (Garnefski et al., 2004; Barrett et al., 2000) and partner’s support perception has been indicated as predictor of relationship satisfaction (Kanemasa, 2012). However, few studies focused on gender differences in emotion regulation and partner’s support perception in romantic relationship. Aim of the present study was to analyze these relationships comparing participants who are in a romantic relationship (AR-G) to participants whose last relationship ended (S-G).

However, few studies focused on gender differences in emotion regulation and partner’s support perception in romantic relationship. Aim of the present study was to analyze these relationships comparing participants who are in a romantic relationship (AR-G) to participants whose last relationship ended (S-G).
