Delenda Austria. Dalla neutralità all'intervento: riviste culturali italiane e austro-ungariche nella Grande Guerra (1914-1915)

The publication is the author's PhD thesis. In this work is carried out a detailed analysis of the items published during the first year of the Great War (June 1914-June 1915) by the Italian cultural magazines L'Unità Problemi della Vita Italiana and La Voce, by the Austrian Die Fackel and the Hungarian Nyugat. A numer of common topics between the magazines would be identified and analyzed: Pacifism and arms race, the relatioship between pangermanism, panslavism and turanism, causes and effects of WWI, German militarism, Italian neutrality in the European frame, the Triple Alliance, Italian and Austro-Hungarian policy towards the Adriatic Sea and Balkans).
